Happieness is a choice

Tuesday Ten… Part Two! – March 29th March 30, 2011

Alright so I really didn’t plan to do this every week, but I might, just so that I have one less thing to worry about, I think this counts as a little random factoid and you can all deal with that. As you deal with all my other riveting blog posts about my adventures and… well I forgot where that sentence was going to go because I got interested in the SAC kids and the fact that they’ve lost the keys to their closet… Which is I guess a big problem..

ANYWAYS, back to my Tuesday ten list if you do decided to answer post your responses in the comments or if you write it on your own blog leave the link, and now, without further Adoo.

1. What animal should cease to exist?

Wow, a lot of different animals – and don’t get all science on me “it’s a mammal not an animal” – today they’re all freaking animals. So, yeah, back to who I’d get rid of: Snakes, Possums, Bats, Mice, Rats, Lizards, Frogs you know just to name a few (I’d also like to note that with getting rid of all the lizards, frogs and what not I would get rid of all bugs to.)

2. What was your favorite part of elementary school?

Back then it was just hanging out a recess, chilling on the jungle gym and climbing the stairs in the auditorium. As I got older it was having seniority over different things in the school. Now when I go back and visit it’s seeing how much smaller everything actually is, comparing it to how big I used to think it all was. It’s weird to go back and remember having to stand on your tippy toes to reach a shelf that now only goes to your shoulders… and of course the jungle gym.

3. If scientists found a way to allow dogs to talk, do you think we should implement it? Or should we just keep them quiet?

That’s something to really ponder about,. I would say yes to letting them talk, I think  we’d be shocked at first to discover that our pets are thinking differently from what we thought. That they’re only really cuddling us because they’re bored. But on the other hand I’d love to currently hear my dogs thoughts – she has cancer – just so I can figure out what she wants or see if she’s in any pain. I think it would be weird, but we’d adjust to it.

4. How do you order your Starbucks?

I don’t. Gabby is not a coffee fan, granted I have a gift card for Starbucks that I will most likely use while down in Chicago next month, but even then I will probably only get good food items or a Jones soda if they happen to be carrying it.

5. What’s worse? People who don’t know the difference between your and you’re OR people who smack their food?

Both are awful. But I think I’m going to have to go with smacking your food. It’s called close your mouth, it’s really not that hard of a concept. I mean children are mostly able to grasp it – Why can’t you? The grammar thing is bad and can be annoying, but hey you know what they were trying to say, and I can’t even pretend that I don’t do it at least a few times a week. We’re humans and we make errors – especially when we’re writing at three in the morning per say.

6. What CD can you listen to over and over?

Anything by Lenka, Regina Spektor, Madi Diaz , Daphne Willis and Co and the likes. Or usually all of them on a CD, just because I really like their calming music – it’s great for playing tetris or listening to while sleeping.

7. What was the most surprising thing about college?

Wellllllll, seeing as I have not yet attended college, and in the long run might not end up going, I can’t say. Although if I were to imagine I would go with how much you miss your family if you live in dorms or share an apartment. At first it’s cool and your happy to be independent but then you’re work starts to pile up and you haven’t eaten anything but Mr Noodle for at least a month solid and you just really want to go home and have your mom feed you and do your laundry.

8. What’s the best deal you ever got? (Biggest sale item.)

I’ve probably gotten a few good deals in my time. I like deals, I’m somewhat of  a bargain shopper. I think the best deal I ever got though was on a pair of shoes – well actually a bunch of pairs of shoes. The shoes were on sale for two dollars a pair, I’m pretty sure I got 6 pairs of shoes. I also bought tank tops that day that were a decent price. A memorable purchase has to be my heat changing shirt though – 5 bucks, and countless hours of entertainment … and people blowing on my chest.

9. Who is your role model? Why?

I have many for different reasons and this is not an exhaustive list. My mom because she’s a fantastic mother and did an amazing job running our household while keeping us close and making us all feel loved. My dad because he is SO smart. So so smart.  There’s a woman at my school. I’ve always loved her and respected her. But as I’ve grown, I realize how truly rare it is to meet someone so loving and I’m sure that everyone that’s had the pleasure of meeting her feels the same way. I cherish my relationship with her even though I don’t hang out with her too much, I just like the fact that she radiates amazigness.

10. What movie would you like to see that is in theaters right now?

I don’t go to the movies that much although I do love when I go because it’s usually with friends and is super duperdy fun buckets. But I would really like to see Beastly as well as Little Red Riding hood. Both of them just look amazing, and have a quite a few hot men.

Tuesday Ten – March 22nd March 23, 2011

Alright the truth is that sometimes I just don’t have anything to write about – because I’m to busy reading the blogs of people I find interesting. One popular thing around right now is a list called Ten on Tuesday. I’ve renamed it and I’m giving it a go, so let’s get this thing started off right!

1. If you won the lottery, what would be your one random, off-the-wall purchase?
A fully furnished apartment with rent paid off for 5 years.

2. What is popular now that you just don’t get?
Twitter and Facebook games like Farmville and Mafia Wars

3. What would your last meal, you know, if you were ever about to be executed and you got to choose that sort of thing?
Baked seven cheese ravioli from Boston pizza, with a Ceaser salad on the side and then a big hunk of chocolate cherry cheesecake.

4. When is it okay to start listening to Christmas music?
November 12th… no earlier.

5. How do you feel about facial hair on men?
I’m not a fan of beards or mustaches. A little scruff is okay but if I’m giving you a hug and your face is peeling away a layer of my skin, or I’ve discovered a small family of woodland sprite it’s time to shave.

6. McDonald’s or Burger King? Those are the only two options.
McDonald’s fries and Flurries.

7. What kind of soap do you use?
The Dark Kiss body wash I got for christmas, I don’t use it to much but I’m most defianetly hooked on the hand lotion.

8. What movie can you watch over and over and never get tired of?
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Wild Child, St. Trinians, The Breakfast Club, and Sydney White.

9. Favorite beverage?
Non-alcoholic: Any clear soda – Ginger Ale, Sprite, Spritz up, Seven up, Lemon Lime

Alcoholic: Give me a year?

10. What do you want for Christmas?
Realistically: Books. In my dreams: An apartment, a laptop, heels that don’t make my feet hurt, a really big bed, some nice bed sheets, and a big rainforest shower.

Your turn.
