Happieness is a choice

If it looks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck… Then it must be tape. May 30, 2011

That’s right, I am going to write an entire blog post on DuckTape… or Ductape as some other people like to call it. I’m doing this because as of late I noticed that’s how a lot of people have been getting to my blog page, and I’m not going to lie. I know the exact reason why. They are looking into things for Duck Tape Prom or “Stuck At Prom”. Now if you are unfamiliar with this concept, Stuck at Prom was created by Duck Brand Duck Tape. The idea behind it is that you use DuckTape to create an original outfit – We’re talking dress, shoes, tux, earings, even a corsage – All made from DuckTape.

Now for those of you going “Well what’s in it for me?” Not only do you get the satisfaction as making something as awesome as a DuckTape outfit, you also enter to win Up to $5000 for yourself, and for your school – Which I think would be pretty great, getting to donate $5000 to your school, and maybe putting it towards something you’re interested in seeing getting money, Like Drama, or Music… Even Sports. – I myself really want to participate in this even though I’m not going to Prom, so I’ll let you know how that goes.

Also, if you’re thinking how amazing can a grey DuckTape dress be, you obviously have never seen Duck brand DuckTape, it comes in everything from Brown, to Chrome, Neon Pink, Camouflage, Hey it even comes in Leopard.

Now before I leave you, I thought I might give you pictures – as well as a link – to show just how versatile DuckTape really is.

I wear my sunglasses in … english class?

Filed under: Cray-Cray,Gabby's Pick,Lenovo,Rambles,So you could say... — GabrialGrewOnUp @ 9:36 am

Yeah so I’m sitting here in English class, getting together all my information on Planking, because that’s what I’m writing my Prosse essay about. Its a new trend, you’ll love it, you’ll hate it, and aside from people who were maybe born with a curved spine, or happen to just be a head in a jar, Everyone can do it… But does that mean that everyone should. To anwser that well I’ll refer back to one of my points in the essay, someone has actually died planking, does this mean that the man – a New Zelander – who invented planking should be blaimed for his death. No, because while the death could have been avoided had Acteon( An Australian man) not been planking his seventh storey balcony, it could have also been avoided had he not been drunk, and trying to take the photo himself.

Now really I didn’t come onto this blog post to start any trouble, really I just put my sunglasses on and felt the need to write a blog post, I’m sitting here in a summer-ie dress, with flipflops, my sunglasses and I can’t WAIT for friday, It has to be sunny and warm. I mean we’re going to the beach. :)

So I’ve started this thing. Where I’m a hermit… but I’m a hermit with friends, so it’s okay. May 20, 2011

I’m not sure why it started… probably because I realized how much I was failing and have decided to just hide out in my room watching movies until I no longer suck… basically what that means is it’ll take a while. So while I’m hiding out I decided I might as well my useless zombie vegging time adn cross of yet another thing from my 101 list, because lately I feel I need to complete those goals – it makes me feel really good when I do – and movies can help me because as I wrote down for number 35, I plan on watching 50 of IMDB’s 250 top movies of all time.

Now on the list are some movies I will happily enjoy watching because I love them, or they arn’t a half bad movie, but I have a feeling it’s going to get harder as the liste gets shorter and I’m left with movies I just really have no interest in watching at all. So far though I am proud to say that I have crossed off over half the movies of the 50 and I’ve enjoyed every one of them… needless to say I’m a boring person with no life who hangs out in her room watching movies, doctor who and talking to people about odd things… I really need some sun to shine so I don’t end up like a hermit, just stuck inside my shell of a room.

Bascially the moral of this story… I need a tan.

I don’t think so, I think you’re a 943 year old Time Lord. May 10, 2011

The title doesn’t really have to do with the post, I’m not writing about Time Lords. I mean I could start writing about them, actually I will write about them. I love Doctor Who. But this post is more to do with the fact that my blog is considered somewhat popular – and by popular I mean that compared to the rest of the classes blogs (who’s highest days were sometime in the 70’s) my blog has just reached over 1000 views… I wish I could have been here for 1000 , but sadly I missed it and overshot by 50.

I’m not really sure where I was going with this blog post to be honest, I guess I just wanted to say thank you for reading my blog, I mean somebody has to be – It’s not all me – mainly for the fact that WordPress doesn’t count you’re own visits to your blog –

I think I’ve written a post on Doctor Who before [In fact I know I have; here’s the link] So yeah read that, and then I don’t have to explain to you what Doctor Who is – Basically its British, and it’s Syfy, about a Time Lord who travels in a spaceship disguised as a Police Box.

The Newest Season started back up about three weekends ago, and I feel as thought they gave me all these questions – within the first 15 minutes I might add – to what the fuck was going on. And then they decided not to fill me in on anything. They just brought up all this stuff and left it to go on a  pirate ship. I feel as though they’re becoming Cray-Cray.

P.s. For those of you who don’t know what Cray-Cray is, I feel it’s the right expression for people who are just plain crazy – on a regular basis.

For example: Elena… She’s Cray-Cray.

I didn’t think crossing things off my life list would make me feel like crap. May 4, 2011

I was hoping that I wouldn’t have to cross number 8 of my 101 list, atleast not for a lotlonger. But sadly, TuesdayMay 3rd in the early morning my dog Misty just couldn’t go on any longer. The blood tumor she had so recently been diagonsed with was bleeding out into her body and her limbs no longer moved.

Now, my mother took her to the vets to figure out just what was happening and it was then that she called my dad, and they made the decision to have Misty put down. They didn’t want her to be in pain and she “had lived a long life”. But if you’ve ever loved something – a person or a pet – you know that no life is ever long enough.

Now I was already sad this week because my Great Gran had also passed away, but I think Misty’s death hit me harder. I always had my Great Gran around, and Ihad a sense of age, I knew that she was reaching 100 and she could live for 20 more years, or she could go in an instant, so I made sure to tell her that I loved her, and hugged her whenever I could.

Whereas with Misty, you never want to lose your companion, and I always just figured she’d be around, certainly she’d still great me every day when I got home from school. But today will be the first time in a long time, that I’m not frantically pounced on when I walk through the door, and being begged to throw a stuffed rabbit across the room.

It is with great sadness, and heavy heart that I cross number 8 of 101 things of my list.
